About saktiisha

Introduction video saktiisha

For an impression of our lessons, teachers and yogis …

Saktiisha is a yoga school located in the stately Javastraat 12, Den Haag. Our studio is accessible to anyone who is looking for and wants to practice one or more facets of yoga.

The school has an inspiring and relaxed atmosphere, where you can be yourself. Where you can feel at home.
Saktiisha operates through age-old and modern knowledge and experience of yoga and meditation, to experience and maintain connection and balance of “body, mind & spirit”. Being yourself and your overall health are central.

About the teachers

The teachers each have a different background, so there is plenty of diversity and yoga knowledge at saktiisha. They all want to inspire you to find and maintain balance of mind and body. To achieve this, we use in our lessons:

  • Breathing exercises
  • Meditation
  • Relaxation
  • Postures and exercises

Would you also like to teach at saktiisha in the center of The Hague? Send us an e-mail! We look forward meeting you.

Through Yoga and Meditation lessons, workshop, courses and the Hatha yoga teacher training I gladly transfer my knowledge and experience to others. She has been practicing Yoga and Meditation for years and still do it with pleasure and love. There is still a lot to learn. Every time you discover a new layer, a deeper meaning of the same..
For her, practicing yoga is a means to constantly tune into your core, from which life becomes a flow.

I first came in contact with yoga through my physical therapist when I was recovering from a spinal fracture in 2007. I continued to practice bikram yoga for two years. Although I experienced the healing effects of yoga, I started to miss something in my training. In 2010 I discovered hatha yoga, yin yoga & meditation on Ibiza.

In 2004 I started yoga, when I was 18, out of curiosity about this (then) relatively new trend in the Netherlands. I soon realized that yoga was the answer to my recurring back pain, which I couldn’t even manage with years of physiotherapy since I was a child.
